The 2022 Honda CMX1100 isn't your typical cruiser, but it offers a unique and high-tech take on the theme. In a segment dominated by big American V-twins, the all-new 2022 Honda CMX1100 might be a tough sell for the Japanese firm but, as they preach in the classics, never judge a book by its cover. I drove a dct NT1100 and in Low Speed Situations and in D-Mode the NT1100 was stuttering and the Electronic nearly stalled the engine. The expierience was horrible! So im looking forward to get this Bike next year, but Sharing the same Transmission and Engine with the Africa Twin and the NT1100, i am scared to buy the DCT Version of the Rebel.
Currently, the Honda Africa Twin DCT range in the US starts at $15,299 and goes up to $18,099, which undercuts all of its manual counterparts from rival motorcycle manufacturers. With all the boxes of technical and monetary advantages ticked, the joy of using a clutch lever and foot-operated gear lever starts seeming ignorable.
I rode both a DCT and a manual before buying - and I personally didn't like the DCT. I own a 2018 ATAS manual and unless you include the 2020 1100 in the mix I would still go for the 2018/2019 ATAS manual. The suspension is much better - it has been the thing that I've noticed the most. The taller windscreen suits me perfectly (I get no buffeting).
Enjoy the Ride. Honda’s revolutionary automatic DCT transmission will transform your riding experience. It eliminates clutch levers, stalling, and the need for you to shift, while also giving you complete control to select gears if you want to. And in certain conditions, it offers better power delivery than any conventional manual . 222 169 419 343 477 470 60 362
